I am so behind on blogging, but I’ll get caught up over the next week and then start posting some fresh stuff. We had a crazy end of 2014 and beginning of 2015, so it’s nice to sit down and put a post together.
I can’t believe I never shared our own holiday cards! So I’ll be doing that today! We set up our equipment at a park near central Phoenix, organized our subjects (2 dogs and a 2-year old!) and prayed! Although the results turned out ok (probably could have done without the leashes and poo bags), I think we’ll be trusting our family portrait to someone else next year (at least I promised Andrew that I would). It’s just a bit stressful to take it all on ourselves and we literally just pray that everyone is looking in the same direction. I used our 5D Mark III with a 24-105 f/4 lens, and a wireless shutter release for the family photo. For everything else, Andrew and I switched between being the subject and being the photographer and used a 70-200 lens.
I always order two designs and we end up mailing out about 75 cards. I love mailing and receiving holiday cards. I hope it’s a tradition that our friends and family stick to for years to come! Here’s what we mailed out!
